Beheira Governorate (Egyptian Arabic: محافظة البحيرة Muḥāfẓet El Beḥēra , IPA: [elbeˈħeːɾæ], "the Lake") is a coastal governorate in Egypt. Located in the northern part of the country in the Nile Delta, its capital is Damanhur.
